Windows 10: One particular SD card cannot be read by my windows 10 laptop

I need to transfer all of my SD card files to a type C USB key. My computer will read most SD cards but does not recognise one particular one. I have plugged it into the laptop and also tried a USB card reader without success. This particular SD card has been used in my car and has worked perfectly however my new car does not have a SD slot only a type C USB socket.I have been able to read other SD cards on my laptop just not this particular on despite the fact that all of the music tracks on it were copied to it from the same laptop that now refuses to read it.

Windows 10 will not read my SD cards. I have tried updating the drivers and other suggestions to no avail. I also have a small SD card that needs an adapter and plugs into a usb port. It doesn't read this either.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Method 1: Please check your Windows updates (including optional updates).

• 
  At the Start screen, type
  Windows Update.
  
• 
  Select Check for Update.
  
• 
  Download and Install the latest Windows Updates.
  
  Method 2: Check in compatibility mode.
  
  Download the drivers from manufacture's website for Windows 10, if there no drivers available for Windows 10, download the latest driver from the manufacturer’s website and try installing it in compatibility
  mode. Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows.
  
  Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

  Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website.
  
• 
  Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘properties’.
  
• 
  Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box
  ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.
  
• 
  Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
  

Method 3:

Please check if the Micro SD card is listed in disk management.

• Press Windows key + X
• Click on disk management
• Check if the Micro SD card is listed
