Windows 10: One random item didn't go to the recycle bin after being deleted but wasn't completely...

I deleted a big folder (with the Delete key, if that matters) and it didn't go to the recycle bin. It just disappeared. After checking the storage it seems like the folder wasn't completely deleted. I knew exactly how much space I had left because I checked right before deleting the folder and how big such folder was. There're about 12GB still on my computer and the folder was 18GB. I searched for the folder but the PC found nothing related to it. I also tried restarting it just in case and nothing.

The "don't move files to Recycle Bin" option is off. I tried deleting something else after that to see what happens and it went to the bin normally.

Is there anything I can do here?

I deleted them directly from the Recycle Bin. I did what you suggested - clicking on Empty Recycle Bin - but it did not help. Any other suggestions? Thanks

To prevent your files from being deleted from the Recycle Bin, we suggest increasing the maximum file size your Recycle Bin can keep by following the steps below:

• Right click on the Recycle Bin icon.
• Under the Settings for selected location, select Custom size.
• Fill up the box for your allotted maximum file size for your Recycle Bin.
