Windows 10: One-to-one pc connection through ethernet has status "Unidentified network" / unable to...

I've been using a bridged connection, between my laptop's WiFi and PC through Ethernet, for a couple of months and I had to do a factory reset of the pc a few days ago. But now I can't get the connection to work (Router - WiFi -> laptop - Ethernet -> PC). On both sides I get "Unidentified network" and the troubleshooter indicates ""Ethernet" doesn't have a valid IP configuration". I've tried different Ethernet cables, a lot of cmd commands and network settings (DHCP / automatically / trying to enter ip configs), but I can never get rid of the Unidentified network! Does anyone know how to get this setup to work (like it once used to)?

Ethernet Connection Shows "unidentified network and no internet access"

I'm a student and I went and got my PC hooked up for the campus ethernet, the connection was fine for about 3 days and after that it started showing a message saying "unidentified network and no internet access" after that it just said network and no internet
access, while if I hook a laptop to to the same cable it connects to the internet with no problem at all, but my PC says no internet access. Is there a way to fix this problem and my PC is using windows 10

Hi Ahmed,

I will certainly help you with the issue you are experiencing in connecting with Ethernet.

This issue might occur, if the network adapter driver is corrupt.

Please follow below mentioned steps to fix the issue:

Step 1: Troubleshooting Network adapter.

  Press Windows Key + X from your keyboard and select
  Control Panel option.
  
• 
  Change to Large under
  View all option, you will see at right top corner of the window.
  
• 
  Click on Troubleshooting, Go to
  View all option (you will see at left pane), select Network adapter from the list and click on
  troubleshoot.
  

Step 2:

• 
  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Command prompt (Run as admin).
  
• 
  Enter the below command and press Enter.
  
  ipconfig /renew
  
• 
  Now restart your PC and check the
  Ethernet settings.
