    OneDrive 24.161.0811.001 has a MAJOR flaw


    I've ended up with OneDrive 24.161.0811.001 installed on my new Windows 11 Pro build and this has completely filled the hard disk. There appears to be a major flaw in this version which is what you get if you manually upgrade/install from this official page:https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/onedrive-release-notes-845dcf18-f921-435e-bf28-4e24b95e5fc0I'm synchronising both my Microsoft Personal account and my Microsoft 365 Business OneDrive account. By default "on demand" is enabled whereby it should it just downloads the folder and file structure, i.e. no content.However, this version

    Windows 10 - OneDrive

    Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

    If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

    Windows 7 Major Flaw

    Thanks folks.. i'll give TeraCopy a try.. I didn't even know there was a 3rd party move/copy app to replace windows default app.

    mikek75, To me it is a major flaw because this same issue has popped up for years in windows and tons of people like to dote over win 7 being so perfect, and all the bugs from previous systems were fixed.. if not a major flaw then a major oversight on Microsoft's part.

    Many 3rd party apps are way better than windows default.. I wonder why MS doesn't get a clue and redesign all their stuff.

    I have used Rollback RX and Comodo Time Machine to replace windows system restore, we can all think of better than Windows Defender, and now TeraCopy solves problems of windows move/copy app. I have used windows explorer replacements too.

    You know.. someone should start a " better than Windows 3rd party app replacement thread "and list all the great stuff that's out there.

    Isn't it because it needs to then rewrite every piece of data it just wrote to the USB stick back to 0 or whatever. Anyway not a major flaw just annoying.
