Windows 10: OneDrive Account Switching

Ugh, I hate this.So the problem is,I am a Microsoft 365 personal user and I use Windows 11 Home. but there is a problem with OneDrive. My dad have another OneDrive accıunt on his own PC. But one time it's BIOS update was unsuccessful I dont know if I wrote that wrong so it got to be fixed. And later on, he used my Lenovo laptop. though he has his onedrive logged in on my laptop and after he used it, I was gonne log in back. as I did it, it was my dads account which I needed to enter his password. I wanted to enter my account! So I tried but there was no switch account button! if you think th

Since OneDrive is not working at all, try switching the Microsoft User Account to a Local Account and then switch back to the Microsoft Account.



Follow these steps:

• 
  Click on Settings
  
• 
  Click on Accounts > your account > select
  Sign-in with a local account instead.
  
• 
  Follow the steps to setup the local account.
  
• 
  Once on the local account, follow the same steps backward to switch back to the Microsoft Account.

OneDrive - Bait and switch (but to what?)

Google Drive offers 17GB free, I see no discernible reason to bother with OneDrive's crippled storage capacity.

EDIT: For a painless transfer, I used microsoft's SyncToy to do a daily backup of DropBox/OneDrive items nightly at 4PM to a Google Drive folder. Once I had finished setting up my phone's automatic backup and had my work flow transferred, I just stopped the auto-backup script and uninstalled OneDrive/DropBox and carried on using Google Drive. Switching cloud storage service isn't remotely arduous.

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.
