OneDrive - all files up to date green check icon, but all folders showing the 'syncing'...

I have a new laptop, and the main issue I'm facing, is that OneDrive shows all files as 'up to date', but all folders as 'syncing'.I have followed the steps in https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/troubleshoot/sync/folders-incorrectly-show-status-syncing:- stopping and disabling the Windows Search service=> icons show up correctly- then rebuilding the index=> folder icons are immediately wrongI've unlinked OneDrive and and re-added the account - I even delete all files locally. But the system always returns to the same state: all files showing 'up to date', all folders showing 's

Removing OneDrive Green Check Mark Icons in Windows 10 file explorer

    Hi,
Does anyone know if one can remove the green check marks in file explorer that indicate that a file is synced on OneDrive?
If one is using list, details or small icon view, there is no way to visually see the file type.
    Thanks, Paul

    OneDrive icons

I have just moved 192GB of photos from a separate partition to my OneDrive and OneDrive is up to date
I can see the files via onedrive.live.com ok and the files show the glimmer marks icon
I can see the files via OneDrive on my PC and the files show the green tick icon
However, the OneDrive folders on my PC still show the sync icon
The OneDrive system tray icon appears correct and if I hover over it it says 'OneDrive Up to date', see screenshot

I have reset OneDrive but no change
    Should I be worried?
    What is happening?
I want to reuse the partition that previously stored the photos so wanted to be certain all is OK before I proceed (I have backed up the part with Macrium just in case)
Oddly two folders do show the green tick icon but one folder is empty, see screenshot

Green checkmarks missing in OneDrive for Business

    Hi -

I'm a OneDrive for Business user, running Windows 10.

According to the blue icon in the taskbar, it appears that all my OneDrive files are in sync . However, when I look at the list of files in Microsoft Explorer, there are no green checks to confirm their synced status. I have followed advice in previous posts
on this problem, including this one from 2015:

The reason could be if the settings is disabled in registry. I suggest you to download Autoruns from the link below.Autoruns for Windows - Sysinternals

    Then follow the steps below.

    • Eexecute the Autoruns and from the program look for the entries that say OneDrive1, OneDrive2 and OneDrive3 in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers.
    • Check all three boxes. If you are asked to Run As Administrator (UAC), agree and continue.
    • Start OneDrive again.
    • Your folders will show the green checkmarks now.

It didn't work. There were no OneDrive entries under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers. (see screen shot below)

Any other advice please? I like to see the green checks there as proof that my files definitely are in the cloud. I don't really want to mess around with the registry again as I'm way out of my depth.

    Thanks.
