    Onedrive and Updates Hijacked my desktop


    On friday afternoon, Microsoft did an automatic update at our office. When we turned on two of our PC's in the office, ONEDRIVE had somehow synced our computers and had replaced one of the PC's with the others desktop background, files and apps. We unsynced the pc's and deleted the ONEDRIVE application. But now, we can't seem to recover the other computers original desktop with its files and apps before the hijack . How would this happen when our computers were off?? Is there a way to recover that PC's desktop with all its files?? WE have unsynced, deleted onedrive, ensured that they are not

    Windows 10 - OneDrive

    Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

    If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.
