Windows 10: OneDrive app not updating new email

Discus and support OneDrive app not updating new email in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; Yesterday I changed my primary email address.     OneDrive app not updating new email


    Yesterday I changed my primary email address. I added my new address, made it primary, and deleted the old address. On the web app this displays correctly the offer to sign out & forget my old email was accepted so that side is OK. However, the Android mobile app is another matter.That still shows my account with the old now deleted email address. I have signed out and cleared the cache on my phone, restarted it & signed back into my Microsoft a/c, but still the app shows my a/c with the old email address. Files on the mobile app are syncing with the web app/my computer. How can

    I understand that you are unable to sign in to OneDrive using your new email address.



    Please let us know:



    • When you say, “I have updated to a new email address and updated Microsoft details” where exactly have you updated the details?
    • Are you try to sign in to the OneDrive website or OneDrive Desktop app?


    I would suggest you to refer the steps mentioned in the article
    OneDrive shows "You're syncing a different account" error
    and see if that helps.

    Sign in to OneDrive.com from any browser or Open OneDrive App, click the ‘?’ help icon on the top banner of the page and select
    Email OneDrive support. Submit your question and follow the prompts to request support.

  3. Windows 10 - OneDrive

    Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

    If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

    Problems with the email app in Windows 10

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update and I apologize for the delay in response.

    I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the Mail app and configure the account again. Please follow the steps to uninstall the mail app.

    Please follow the following steps:

      • Open the Task manager. Here’s a tip: Press CTRL+Shift+ESC.
      • Click File > Run New Task
      • Make sure you have a check mark beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”
      • Type Powershell.
      • This will open a new powershell.
      • Type the following get-appxpackage *microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps*

        | remove-appxpackage
    After performing uninstallation, I suggest you to reinstall the app from Windows store and check if it helps.
