Windows 10: Onedrive backup changes directory location

To ensure enough disk storage space I moved the location of Documents, Desktop, Pictures etc. ie all data directories to a larger drive D:. To my dismay when I executed a One Drive backup this caused the Documents, Desktop and Pictures directories to be moved back to C: drive causing it to run out of space. An urgent fix is required to make sure that One drive accesses and Backs up the data directories located on the larger drive without moving them to C: drive. ie leaving the D: drive directories/folders undisturbed.I notice that Onedrive is not a selectable Support category!!!!!!!!!!

I have no problems doing so.

Just to verify, are you doing all of the steps exactly in the tutorial?

It's critical that you unlink OneDrive before moving the folder, and to select the new folder location when setting up OneDrive next.

Correct Directory Location For Pictures Folder

"Now Documents, Videos etc say file location is This PC. But Pictures file location is C:\Users\PeteyBoPetey\Pictures."

If we understand you correctly, the issue is that Pictures doesn't appear in the left panel under This PC. The correct location IS C:\Users\PeteyBoPetey\Pictures. This is only an issue of using Step 8 in the tutorial to add it back to the list. See if this screenshot is what you want to achieve- put Pictures folder back in list on L.

 

Change Backup Location

I'm trying to update my phone, but can't so far because my C drive doesn't have enough space for a backup. My computer is partitioned right now, so is there any way to change the backup location (i.e. to another drive)
