    OneDrive Co-Authoring Executable constantly using 25% CPU


    I've been chasing this for about 6 weeks with no luck. NUC8i5 is the computer and was running W10 Pro 1909 until this week when I jumped to 20H2.

    The following process is using a constant 25% of CPU. A restart will stop it for 1-4 hours before it decides it wants to run again. I have no idea why. Any help is appreciated.

    Windows 10 - OneDrive

    Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

    If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

    Onedrive On Windows 10 High CPU Usage and Burning CPU

    I'm having a similar problem with onedrive on Windows 7. Onedrive is using 25% CPU all the time. If this continues I may uninstall Onedrive and stop using it.

    CPU Fan runs constantly

    Hi,

    We would like to know the following information to assist you better regarding CPU fan issue.

    • Does the fan runs constantly fast or do you hear any noise?
    • Have you tried updating all the drivers of your computer?
    • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps before posting this concern? If yes, what are those?
    • What is the memory/disk usage in task manager?

      You may check this by typing Task Manager in the search box
      and hit Enter. Check which application
      is taking more memory or disk usage.
