Windows 10: OneDrive Deceptive Prompt for Purchase

OneDrive keeps prompting me to purchase more storage because I am out of space.I have 1.5 TB of space on my hard drive. It just keeps prompting me to purchase more storage over and over. Then it copy's my files and performs backups to OneDrive. I didn't ask it too?IF I wanted items on the Cloud, then it would be very specific items. All default save locations are in OneDriveAll default Backup Locations are on OneDriveAll default install locations!? Are on OneDrive.I own my data. How do I turn all of this off?How can I ensure that Microsoft will quit hassling me to buy more space?

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

 

Unable to find photographs in OneDrive

I understand that you are unable to see the Photographs that are uploaded in OneDrive. I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check if you are able to find the files:

1. Login to
   https://onedirve.live.com with your Microsoft account.
   
2. Check for the folders or files that are uploaded.
   

If you are unable to find the photographs, I suggest you to get in touch with the OneDrive support team.

Sign in to OneDrive.com from any browser, click the ‘?’ help icon on the top banner of the page and select
Email OneDrive support. Submit your question and follow the prompts to request support.

Windows 10 - 'Critical Error' message, Start Menu is not working, OneDrive no longer function.

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community. I understand the inconvenience you faced. I will certainly help you with this.



I suggest you to follow the below given methods and check if it fixes the issue.

Method 1:

This issue may happen due to system file corruption. I suggest you to run System file checker. System File checker (SFC) scan is done to check if there are any corrupted system files that could be causing this issue. Kindly follow
the below given steps:

• Press Windows key + X, select
  Command prompt (Admin) to bring up elevated Command prompt.
• In Command prompt type sfc/scannow and press enter.
• Restart the computer.

If no corrupted system files were found in the previous state, then I suggest you to try the following steps:

• Open command prompt by pressing Windows key + X and selecting “Command prompt admin”.
• In command prompt, type the following commands and press Enter after each command:

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

• Close the command prompt and restart the PC and check if it works.

Method 2:

If issue persist, Kindly follow the below given steps and check if it helps:

Run these commands:

• Press Windows key and type Powershell in search, right click on it and Open as administrator
  .
• Type the following command in Powershell and hit enter:

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

For OneDrive issue:

I suggest you to unlink and re-set up OneDrive on your Windows 10 computer check if it helps. In order to unlink you can follow the steps given below.

a) Right Click on OneDrive icon present in System Tray.

b) Click on Settings, under Settings Tab you will see Unlink option, click on it an.

c) Restart your computer and reset OneDrive.
