Windows 10: Onedrive fails to update and breaks in Enterprise environment

We are an enterprise environment Windows 10 - Onedrive is installed with /allusers parameter. When onedrive attempts to updates itself, it fails and breaks onedrive that is currently installed. We now have we manually install onedrive by navigating to the new version folder and running onedrivesetup.exe /allusers.


We have a GPO that sets to install only the Enterprise ring but continues to push the production when the update is available. In each case, it tends to break onedrive until it is manually instaled.


The question is, why is it breaking onedrive when it updates and why is it still pushing the production ring when we specify it to only use the enterprise ring. We have over 3K users.

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

 

New Windows Build Breaks QuickBooks Enterprise 11

This does not work. I tried this first. Loaded with every compatibility possibility that was available. There is another issue that is causing the failure. MS has made a change that is breaking Quickbooks Enterprise 11 in the new update as I first stated
above.

When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.
