Windows 10: Onedrive file on demand - why do 'stop sharing' files go to Recycle bin?

I'm using OneDrive file on demand Home paid version. I first share a file with an employee. The employee uses file on demand so that the file is accessible from their desktop. Now suppose i stop sharing the file. On their desktop, the shared file no longer appears, but it has been moved to the Recycle bin. Is there anyway to have it removed permanently? It's a way to perform remote wipe, in the event i lose my laptop or dismiss an employee. Performing the same steps with Dropbox for comparison removes the folders.

To prevent your files from being deleted from the Recycle Bin, we suggest increasing the maximum file size your Recycle Bin can keep by following the steps below:

• Right click on the Recycle Bin icon.
• Under the Settings for selected location, select Custom size.
• Fill up the box for your allotted maximum file size for your Recycle Bin.

Why are someone elses OneDrive files in my Recycle Bin?

a co-worker has shared a set of folders with me with OneDrive. I have only accessed one file and one folder, yet while in my recycle bin to recover an unrelated file I noticed 22 files from my co-worker's OneDrive in my desktop recycle bin. How is this
possible? I have not even accessed these files and certainly didn't delete them. If she deletes files why would they end up in my recycle bin? seems really strange to me.

 

File History & OneDrive on Demand

I know that "files on demand" aren't saved on my computer. However, I still have the following problems:

• After starting a new File History backup from scratch (as suggested in the first response) the majority of my Onedrive , including almost all files that are marked as "Always Keep on this Device" are not backed up.

• Even for files marked as "Files on Demand" - surely File History should be able to back them up anyway? The whole point of a good backup system is that you have copies of files in multiple places (and OneDrive's cloud system only counts as 1). The creation
  of the file history would be download heavy as it copies every file to my backup device, but after that it should only have to download single files as changes are made.
