Windows 10: OneDrive files have no ticks/status

Hello,I have recently got a new laptop and I'm moving all my files over to the new one via OneDrive.My new laptop has all the files now as well as the status column in OneDrive showing ticks or the cloud etc.However I'm trying to clear my old laptop but all the space is being taken up by locally available OneDrive content, which i cant seem to clear without deleting permanently, I don't have any options such as "free up space" or "available offline" which is confusing because its all available on my OneDrive anyway. this is a screenshot from my old laptop that I'm trying to clear where you can

OneDrive Sync Status

Since the 10 April MS Updates, the OneDrive folder in the Navigation pane of File Explorer no longer shows the green tick box that it did before. Before all folders and files showed the green tick box in the Navigation Pane. Now, I have a "Status" column,
showing a status icon alongside each folder and file in the details window. However, the status of some folders is showing as 'Sync Pending', but I don't think this can be correct as none of the individual files in those folders show as "Sync Pending". I've
tried re-saving the files in those folders and the status changes, temporarily, to a green tick. If I move away from that view in File Explorer and then back again, the "Sync Pending" icon re-appears against that folder. Rather than employ a suggested technical
workaround, I would prefer to await a further update that fixes this, so, for now,
I'd be interested if others are experiencing the same issue so that more people can be flagging the issue up. (I would have used the 'OneDrive' category in this community, but that is 'locked').

 

OneDrive Personal Missing 'Green Ticks'

The issue that you encountered regarding the program is may be caused by some files or components that are missing on the system. To sort out your concern, we suggest that you
reset OneDrive using the Run commands. This process will restart the program to its working state and eliminate any software conflicts. To do this, you may follow the steps below:

• Click Start, type Run, and then press Enter.
  
• Copy and paste the following command into the Run window and click
  OK.
  • %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset
• Make sure that the OneDrive icon in the notification area of the taskbar will disappear and reappear after a minute or two.
• If the icon doesn’t reappear after a few minutes, copy this command:
  %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe and paste it into the
  Run window, and then click OK.
• Once you’re done, check if the issue persists.

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.
