Windows 10: OneDrive files on my computer don't open

It is so frustrating.


First things first: As frequently noted in other threads on the Microsoft OneDrive page I am on theInternet and from my OneDrive on my computer, my files with a cloud symbol in the status column, I get an error message it's in German and it roughly says 'an unexpected error has occurred'. This is a pdf-file in my OneDrive cloud. It won't open except when I go the web-based app.


I want to be able to open my file without having to put it directly onto my hard drive. Even that is a pain in the butt.


I've tried all the suggestions from the OneDrive page and completely unhappy.

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

 

PowerPoint file crashes PowerPoint upon opening

since this happens in some of the computers only, suggest that you open the file on working computer and copy everything and paste to a new powerpoint file.
most of the time it works to me. *Smile

 

opening .dds files with gimp

Simply, HOW? I got the DDS plugin but the POS wont open DDS files still. Can someone give me a step-by-step rundown of how to install the DDS plugin for gimp so I know if I'm missing something?
