Windows 10: OneDrive Folder red X issue-only in computer but not on my laptop

Hi:I'm experiencing an issue with one of my OneDrive folders on my computer; it's showing a red X. Interestingly, my laptop has no issues with the same folder. When I click on the folder with the red X, it doesn't show the red X on any subfolder or file within that folder. There is also no sync issue showing on my OneDrive. I have already tried ALL the troubleshooting steps for fixing OneDrive sync problems. I even tried the "Get Help" option what a waste of time. Unfortunately, as a long-time customer, I'm unable to speak to a live person for assistance. My last resort is this forum before

Red X on Pictures Folder - Why?

Hi Dave:

A while ago the little red x also appeared to the left of the OneDrive Cloud icon. I then realized I was over quota so I signed up for and purchased the next level of storage space which far exceeds the overall size of the OneDrive folder. The red x remains
to the left side of the OneDrive folder. There are no syncing errors indicated and everything seems to be in working order.

Any idea why the red x remains?

Red X's

This Morning I have red X's on all of my files in my OneDrive folder. OneDrive says it's up to date. So what's with the red X's

That red X, if it is in the bottom left corner of the Documents Icon, means OneDrive has not been successful in syncing that folder, there may be just one file in that folder which OneDrive cannot sync . .

The documents folder contains a lot of application data that is specific to each user. your best option is to have a folder inside the documents folder for all your files

Then in OneDrive Settings remove the documents folder form the list of synced items and add that folder winch contains only your files . . .
