Windows 10: OneDrive has removed all the documents and programs from my hard drive and moved them to...

My accounting software, labeling programs, and all my documents have been moved to the cloud, I tried downloading my files but that just moved everything to a "OneDrive folder" on my hard disc. I can't invoice my customers because my accounting software still thinks it's on OneDrive. How do I undo that and prevent them form ever doing it again?

OneDrive moved my Desktop into a OneDrive folder and removed Google Drive

To revert the shell folder locations to default, open OneDrive and do the following:

Important: Before proceeding, copy the files in those special folders to another folder or external drive. Please don’t copy them anywhere under Desktop/Documents/Pictures. This is because disabling OneDrive backup for a folder would erase the local copies of the files. Copying them to a different location beforehand will ensure that you don’t need to download them again from the OneDrive cloud.

1. Right-click the OneDrive icon in the Notification area and click Settings.
   
2. Select the Backup tab, and click Manage Backup
   
3. In the Manage folder backup dialog, click on the Stop backup link under the special folder (Desktop, Documents, or Pictures)
   
4. Click Stop backup in the confirmation dialog that appears.
   
5. Repeat the step for each shell folder you want to revert to the original location.

Move documents from D drive into reinstalled program

Hi,

We recommend that you contact the program developer for instructions on how to move your files. They should be able to provide you a step-by-step guide on you can move your documents from the D:\ drive to their program.

How to move documents folder out of OneDrive to hard drive?

If you have the red x on some folders or files, it means you have conflicting versions of the files. I will suggest moving these files out of the OneDrive folder for now, so that you don't lose them. You can later compare and compile these files. Then you can conttinue the rest of the steps.
