    Onedrive: How do I *not* sync a laptop folder


    I'm having a great deal of difficulty with this, so maybe someone can explain how this is supposed to work: I'm having a horrible time trying to get Onedrive *not* to sync every folder on my laptop to the cloud. Basically, I don't want every file that I download to immediately go up to my Onedrive. So how do I set my 'Downloads' folder or whatever to not sync??? I've followed the suggested route under Onedrive:Settings, but if I uncheck a folder, rather than not upload anymore, it *deletes the folder on my laptop* and keeps the folder and the files on the cloud. I want to do the opposite of th

    Music Folder Behaving Badly in OneDrive

    Hi Robert,

    There is a possibility that the Music folder is synced to your OneDrive that is why any files deleted from either of the folders is synced to the other. For us to better assist you with the said folder, we'd like to ask for additional information:

    • Can you please provide a screenshot of the Music folder from the OneDrive folder and home folder?
    • What are the troubleshooting steps that you were advised to do?
