Windows 10: OneDrive I am SO lost

Okay I'm sure this is a dumb question but I'm really worried I'm about to lose a bunch of files. So I'll try to explain my situation and pray I get some answers.I recently bought a new Dell laptop with Windows 10 Pro 6 months ago.I had this laptop setup with some software for my job, all the icons to access this software are on my desktop.last week I bought a new Dell Desktop computer for home with Windows 10. I knew I had something called OneDrive on the laptop that I assumed just backed up some important files to the cloud so I could get them back incase of massive system failure or loss of

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

OneDrive folder connection lost after 1903 upgrade

To be on the safer, you may try copying the files from the old OneDrive folder to the newly created one rather than using the cut/paste feature and see if it stops downloading (sync) the content from your OneDrive account to the local PC.
