Windows 10: OneDrive: Image viewing permission error.

A bunch of my images in my Onedrive are not allowing me to view. I am also unable to change access permissions via windows explorer. Any ideas how I can get access to my photos without having to manually download & replacing them all?




Changing permissions in Windows explorer also returns an error.




Please help as I have thousands of photos in this folder that I'm unable to access on my laptop.

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

 

OneDrive images not showing in forums

To address your concern, we tried to replicate the issue. We also tried doing the same thing as you did uploading the image link from OneDrive and adding it to a forum for the image tag. Currently, OneDrive cannot host the direct link of the image to work
in certain forums. You will need the direct link of the image, which ends with .jpg format when adding it as image tag for it to work. (Please see screenshots below for the work around)

• If the logo can be searched on the web, do so. Click on the logo then click
  View Image.

• This will open another tab, and you will be able to get the direct link of the image. This link is accepted when trying to add an image tag.

OneDrive folder permissions - Fix


Found the problem.

While you are still listed as the owner of each subfolder in the OneDrive folder, some subfolders no longer have inherited permissions enabled.

If you Enable inheritance and OK for each affected subfolder in the OneDrive folder, it will no longer have any access issues or UAC prompts afterwards.
