  1. [Onedrive Issue] How do I Keep game files local but sync everything else in documents folder?

I have a issue with OneDrive. I am a gamer and I'm using Windows 11 Pro. The problem I have is that games I play creates a folder in "Documents" for all my saved data for that particular game. I am unable to modify the folder directory for the saved data. Due to how OneDrive works it also backs the "Game folder" to OneDrive which I do not want to happen. I want to keep my game folders/files on the local SSDSo I go to OneDrive settingsThen select "Choose Folder"Then I select the folder I DONT want to sync to OneDriveThen this pops upIs there any way I can STOP my game folders from syncing into

  2. Sync folder between Air and PC locally

I'm looking for a software which will keep folders on my Mac Air and PC synced via the local wireless network.

I usually take my Mac with me everywhere and as such have tons of large downloaded files that I have to manually copy over to the PC. I'm looking for something that'll transfer the files over the local wireless network in my home.

    Any suggestions?

  3. How to restore original Documents folder (not Onedrive's) if I had not enough space in onedrive?

It sounds like your Documents folder may have been synced to OneDrive at some point, and now your computer is configured to use the OneDrive version of the folder instead of the local version.

To restore the original Documents folder on your computer, you will need to unsync or unlink the Documents folder from OneDrive. Here are the steps to do this:

    1. Open the OneDrive settings by right-clicking on the OneDrive icon in the system tray and selecting "Settings".
    2. Go to the "Account" tab and click on "Unlink this PC".
    3. Confirm that you want to unlink the PC from OneDrive.
    4. After unlinking, OneDrive will ask you if you want to keep a copy of the files on your PC or remove them. Choose to keep a copy of the files on your PC.
    5. OneDrive will then start to remove the sync relationship with your Documents folder. This may take some time depending on how many files you have in the folder and your internet connection speed.
Once the sync relationship has been removed, you should be able to access the local version of the Documents folder on your computer. You can then configure your computer to use the local version of the folder instead of the OneDrive version by following these steps:

    1. Open File Explorer and navigate to the OneDrive folder on your computer.
    2. Right-click on the Documents folder and select "Properties".
    3. In the "Location" tab, click on the "Move" button.
    4. Choose a location for the local version of your Documents folder (e.g. C:\Users\YourUsername\Documents).
    5. Click on "Apply" and confirm that you want to move the files from the old location to the new location.
    6. After the files have been moved, your computer should start using the local version of the Documents folder instead of the OneDrive version.
I hope this helps you restore your Documents folder to its original state!

Do let me know if you need further assistance.

  4. [Onedrive Issue] How do I Keep game files local but sync everything else in documents folder?

How can I STOP OneDrive from syncing LOCAL PC desktop and document folders?

OneDrive MERGED my PC Documents with my OneDrive Documents and it is a mess. It also started syncing my local Desktop folder. OneDrive Settings will NOT ALLOW me to un-sync these folders. I tried managing the folders locally on my PC via right-clicking the OneDrive Icon/Settings, and also tried signing into the browser to try. Neither would allow me to un-sync.

I often keep items on my desktop as I am using them, or want to keep them PRIVATE from OneDrive. I feel like OneDrive is totally over-stepping and has hi-jacked my PC.

I want my USER file manager folders to stay ONLY LOCAL, with the exception of things I intentionally put into my OneDrive folder.

Do I need to partition my hard drive to keep OneDrive from snooping everywhere??
