  1. OneDrive - issues with .JPG and .MP4

    Hi,

I bought a new computer, W10. I cloned many folders from my old computer W10 to my new one, including OneDrive, using Windows backup.

Now I have an issue where I cannot view the .JPG and .MP4 files in OneDrive on the new computer unless I:

    1. Permanently delete the file using Shift-Delete

    2. Wait for OneDrive to restore it

Then I can view the .JPG and .MP4 file.

    Problem:

    1. I have many picture folders. It is time consuming to do this. Is there a faster fix?

    2. What happens when I sell my old computer? If I unlink OneDrive, will I lose all my photos?

    3. What happens if I really *do* want to delete a photo? Right now it just keeps coming back.

I *do* want to keep the photos on my local hard drive, not just in the cloud.

    thanks

    John E.

    :)

  2. Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

  3. MP4 playback issues

I had read online and in other answers to try sfc and DISM earlier and had already done it, they found no issues.

i went and did a system refresh to see if it would fix the mp4 reading issues and i did nothing, i have found 1-2 videos that do play but not all.

again my older laptop that also runs windows 10 is fully able to play all the mp4 files without issue

I'm gonna buy a new Mp4 player. Suggest me some good ones, I personally like the Sony NWZ-F and Cowon iAudio 10.

If there are any good or better please suggest!

    Thanks.
