Windows 10: OneDrive just deleted years of files!

Over the years I have built up a library or videos, pictures, work presentations, excel sheets, the list goes on. The other day I wanted to share one of those files with a friend, so I thought why not use OneDrive. OneDrive instantly tried to sync my whole hard drive onto the cloud, I obviously didn't want this and so paused the sync. I then opened up OneDrive and deleted the folders from OneDrive. Now the word 'folders' is very key here because that's all they were at this point, folders. No data had been synced across and no files were on the OneDrive. I did get a prompt saying are you sure

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

 

Photos deleted from gallery, deleted on Onedrive

It sounds like your photos deleted from gallery have also been deleted on Onedrive.

First I suggest you try to check maybe the Deleted Galary on your phone to see if it's possible to get deleted photos back. Then you may try to visit the OneDrive website to see if the photos you synced are there. If not, you may follow the steps listed on this link | Find lost or missing files in OneDrive (microsoft.com) to see if they could be found back.
