OneDrive keeps deleting its own Explorer Namespace entry on startup

Since about a month ago OneDrive will keep deleting its own explorer namespace entry "HKCU\Software\Classes\{018D5C66-4533-4307-9B53-224DE2ED1FE6}" and "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\{018D5C66-4533-4307-9B53-224DE2ED1FE6}" when the program or Windows system restart, thus removing the OneDrive desktop icon and ability to open OneDrive folder via OneDrive tray icon.I have stopped the activity by making the abovementioned registry keys read-only, yet couldn't find an explanation about why OneDrive is acting self-destructive like this. Could it be t

Duplicate OneDrive entry unexpectedly appears in File Explorer

    You're welcome
You do have access, but the data that populates HKCU is only loaded for the logged in user by default. If you want to edit the HKCU data for another user when logged on as Administrator, you have to load their user hive into Regedit, edit as desired, and then unload the hive to save the changes.
    1. Open RegEdit
    2. Select the HKEY_USERS key
    3. From the nemu: File -> Load Hive...

    4. In the Load Hive dialog, navigate to the desired user's profile folder and select the ntuser.dat file

    5. You'lll be prompted for a name, which can be anything -- it's not persistent with the file

    6. And you then have access to the other user's registry hive

I'd like to see an export before you delete it! *Biggrin I would start by deleting the corresponding key under:
    • <User>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace

    Windows 10 - OneDrive

Anyone know how to remove "OneDrive - For Business" from the Explorer navigation panel? I've tried just about every registry modification, and windows policy for "Onedrive" but they only seem to work for the consumer product, not for onedrive for business.

The onedrive product alone is so damn annoying and continues to load itself upon startup, even when it's explicitly remove from startup. It continues to automatically load and unload itself from within the startup folder... while I'm actively watching it load itself into the startup folder.

Delete Onedrive icon from file explorer

I suggest that you post a request for help in the tutorial thread itself. In your post, point out that the full name of the entry includes OneDrive-----(1) because I think that is unusual.
