Windows 10: Onedrive local folder issues

Hi,I can't get the OneDrive local folder to appear in my explorer tree, and no sync is available.The only way to access it through the OneDrive app that opens like some sort of window and did not have much of functionality incorporated... basically I see and download or upload... files and that's it, pretty much if I'd had it opened in internet browser....Then I managed to uninstall the app and reinstall it, and the folder appeared for a second and then was gone again, and I was greeted with an error of SharePoint login fail... and relation to an organization that I am no longer with.... Libraries are placed in onedrive folder instead of local folder

Hi HalSATL,

They're shell folders, which are different from Libraries.

To revert the shell folder locations to default, open OneDrive and do the following:

Important: Before proceeding, copy the files in those special folders to another folder or external drive. Please don’t copy them anywhere under Desktop/Documents/Pictures. This is because disabling OneDrive backup for a folder might erase the local copies of the files. Copying them to a different location beforehand will ensure that you don’t need to download them again from the OneDrive cloud.

• Right-click the OneDrive icon in the Notification area and click Settings.
  
• Select the Backup tab, and click Manage Backup
  
• In the Manage folder backup dialog, click on the Stop backup link under the special folder (Desktop, Documents, or Pictures)
  
• Click Stop backup in the confirmation dialog that appears.
  
• Repeat the step for each shell folder you want to revert to the original location.

Docs folder is C:\Users\me\OneDrive, not local folder : How do I get the local document folder back in the right place?

To assist you better, please provide few details.

1) Are you able to view the contents of the local document folder in your system, not in OneDrive folder?

2) Are you trying to copy the contents from OneDrive folder to local system Document folder?



If the content from your local system Document folder is moved to OneDrive Document folder, then I suggest you to open the Document folder under OneDrive, copy the content and save it in Document folder in the system.



You can also restore the default location of the Document folder, if the location is changed.

To restore the default folder location, follow the below steps.

1) Right click on the Document folder.

2) Select the Properties option.

3) Click on the Location tab.

4) Click on Restore Default button.

onedrive duplicating my folders...

Hi.

Again, onedrive is going crazy and is duplicating my main folder, full of subfolders. It's locking me out of all my files. I have windows 10, Office 365 home. I paused synch at the moment before I have 1000 copy of my folder, which I can't open anyway!
Please don't ask me any question that will further delay the repair. Simply give me a step by step solution and then improve onedrive so this won't happen again to so many of us. I suggest you also add "onedrive" in the list of "Windows Topics" below since
thousands of users have issues with it.
