Windows 10: Onedrive Mapped network drive access denied

Hello, I want to connect my Onedrive as a mapped network drive. When I try to login using folder: https://d.docs.live.net/CID, I am given a screen to login with username and password. I am assuming username is my email and password is email password. I input the details and then nothing happens, another Connect to d.docs.live.net popup reappears asking me to type my username and password. I did it again, and nothing happens, I typed my details 2nd, 3rd time. After the 3rd time, I get a message saying The mapped network drive could not be created because the following error has occurred. A

Network drive of OneDrive access denied

There are youtube tutorials which show that you can map onedrive as a network drive but for me none of them explain why it showed access denied

 

Access denied when trying to access files on OneDrive through network drive

I have my OneDrive mapped out as a network drive on Windows 7. When I attempt to use robocopy to transfer the files from my computer to OneDrive, it says access denied. I have tried disabling firewalls and antivirus but this doesn't fix the problem. I understand
I can use the OneDrive app, but that only syncs the files in that OneDrive folder, which means I would have to copy the folders and use up alot of hard drive space. I have Windows 7 home and am using the 50gb OneDrive plan

Windows 10 Map Network Drive Not Accepting Credentials, Access Denied

Summary

On Windows 7 I would map my drives, using \\HTPC\X$, it would prompt for credentials, would enter them, and it would map correctly with read\write permissions.

Have tried Windows Credentials, deleting and re adding etc. My Username and Password are correct because they work when RDPing the HTPC, not to mention Im not getting a wrong user name or password, Im getting Access denied.

In Windows 10 they will map, if I leave the dollar sign off, but if I put the dollar sign on the end to make sure i have read\write it asks for credentials, when I put them in, it says access denied, and asks for them again?
