Windows 10: OneDrive moved all my folders online.... I need them back on my computer

I think I know what happened: OneDrive turned on and started to upload my files. Next thing I know, my Documents, Desktop, and Pictures folder are now "OneDrive" . I was trying to open a game, but the installation was damaged because OneDrive moved the files online. I hate this, I never okay any of it, and I have no idea how to get things back to normal. I don't know where anything is anymore, and nothing is working. I want to completely disable OneDrive and never touch it again, but I think it has my files. Please help.

When you set up OneDrive to sync with your computer, a folder C:\Users\XXXX\OneDrive will be created to store the contents. XXXX denotes your username. To move this folder to another location follow these simple steps:

1. Unlink OneDrive from your PC:

• Go to the taskbar notification area
• Right-click on the OneDrive icon
• Select settings
• Click: Unlink this PC

2. Delete the C:\Users\XXXX\OneDrive folder

3. Create a new folder (target folder) for OneDrive contents, e.g. D:\OneDrive

4. Create Directory Junction for the new folder

• In the search area of the taskbar type CMD and press Ctrl+Shift+Enter
• In the command window type

mklink /J C:\Users\XXXX\OneDrive D:\OneDrive

adjusting it to your specific username and selection of the target folder

5. Link again OneDrive to your PC using the OneDrive icon in the taskbar notification area

Move the OneDrive Folder

I want to move my OneDrive folder to a different hard drive. When I follow these steps (unlink the PC from OneDrive, move the folder and set up OneDrive again), I cannot select a different location than the C:\User folder that was previously used. It tells
me that my administrator requires the OneDrive folder to go there. However, I am administrator of the computer, so I don't really understand what's going on. What should I do please?
