    OneDrive nightmare - who programmed this trash?


    I need to vent this.I have several PCs and use OneDrive to sync a lot of material I use for my work voice over production.Only on two of my PCs, I need the entire content of my OneDrive data. So, I deselect all the folders I don't need on all "minor" PCs.Yesterday, I cleaned a significant part of the "archival" part of my OneDrive data. Old backups of recordings and such.This means that I deleted permanently some 250k files or so Audacity saves audio projects in small chunks.Note, that I removed files ONLY from folders which are on my "main" PC. Didn't change anything with the folders loca

    Windows 10 - OneDrive

    Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

    If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

    Why did the startup window get cleared?

    I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

    One Drive cannot sync because .trashes files are not allowed

    I followed the link you sent. The problem is .trashes file. They are not allowed. It wants me to remove the file from OneDrive. I search for .trashes files on OneDrive (as well as the PC) but there are no results. It alos suggests talking to my IT department.
    I am a home user. If there are no .trashes files why do I get this message constantly while working on a document.
