Windows 10: OneDrive not in system tray or Explorer

Windows 10 Home - I've just installed Onedrive on my laptop, but it's not showing up in system tray & won't start from the Start menu, so I don't think it's syncing my files.I uploaded files to it & I can access these files on Onedrive on my Android phone, but I need it to backup & sync automatically.I've followed the steps to edit the registry - I had to add a key & label it OneDrive & set it to 0, but that made no difference.Seems like I may have to try the Group Policy addition & edit, but wanted to ask here first.Thanks.

OneDrive ixon missing from system tray

Desktop PC has been powered off for several months. When it was powered up on Sat. the OneDrive icon was missing from th System tray. Starting OneDrive opens the webpage. Opening OneDrive from File Explorer shows very few files.

I have reinstalled OneDrive from the store twice without any change.

I have tried most of the suggestions in other threads without success. Any others steps I can try?

 

After Creators update, the OneDrive System tray icon disappeared and I can't access settings. File explorer shows folder but not OneDrive Icon.

If OneDrive application doesn't appear on your system tray after performing the steps given above, here's an additional resolution on how to get back your OneDrive icon. To do so, follow the steps below:

• Press the Windows key + R.
• In the Run window, enter %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset
• Click OK.
• Make sure that the OneDrive icon in the notification area of the taskbar disappears and then re-appears after a minute or two.
• If the OneDrive icon doesn't re-appear after a few minutes, open the Run window again and enter: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe

Different date formats for File Explorer and System Tray

Hello,

I recently updated the system tray's date format by adjusting the short date. But now I noticed that when I open
File Explorer, the date format for Date Modified and Date Created is the same as the one I created for the System tray. I don't want it to be the same date format as I'm using in the System Tray. I would like for File Explorer to use a different
date format for Date Modified and Date Created properties. My questions are:

1. Is there a way to have different date formats for the System Tray and File Explorer?
2. On the system tray I show the day of the week (long and not just the first 3 letters). Always on Wednesdays, the date will not show and the system tray will only show the time. Why is this? How can I fix this?
