Windows 10: "Onedrive not signed in" causing gray screen.

My grandmother owns a Dell XPS 8700 and has since 2013. We've not had any issues until she booted the computer yesterday and received the above error message. The first time she clicked ok and that took her to the Onedrive sign in page which asked for her sign in information. Which she forgot and exited out of the window. After she closed it, the screen went gray with no applications or any information at all. I'm trying to help her fix it but I'm at a loss for what to do, has anybody else ran into this issue.

I had solved my 2D & gray screen issue using advice posted by erocker (see below)
Mainly it involves creating a profile and putting higher 2D clocks:

when i play cod mw2 sometime into a match my new asus 5770 that i just got today will stop on a frame then go to a gray screen then my monitor will go into power saving mode then come back on and windows will say that the display driver had stopped working and then says it has recovered and its been doing this eveyrtime and i dont know whats causing it

 

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.
