Windows 10: Onedrive not syncing files. How do I reset this if your online help is outdated?

Hi, I'm trying to get onedrive to backup my files in my document folder but they are all stuck forever on syncing and it doesnt change. How can I solve this problem? I've tried to follow your online help but there is no unlink from this computer or unlink account options that i see on windows 11 as stated on what I found here : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/home/contact?SourceApp=smcivr2 . Im currently using 5.5Gb of my 100 gb limit. Id like a reimbursment of my passed months where i was supposed to have my stuff backed up when it didnt work also because whats the point of paying fo

Files not syncing to OneDrive

OneDrive Placeholders are coming back, now called On-Demand Sync




"At Ignite 2016, Microsoft has just announced that it is bringing Placeholders back to OneDrive on Windows 10. Now, they are not called Placeholders anymore — Microsoft is renaming the feature to “On-Demand Sync” which makes a lot more sense than “Placeholders”.

The company demoed this feature at Microsoft Ignite today, and it works just like it used to previously. As you can see in the screenshot above, the files stored in OneDrive weighed in around 9GB, but the actual size on disk was only around 3MB which is really neat. Of course, this feature isn’t anything new as it was available back in the Windows 8 days. However, Microsoft removed the feature with Windows 10, and after lots of waiting, they are finally coming back.

In case you are not familiar with OneDrive Placeholders, it’s a pretty neat feature which lets you see all of your OneDrive files on your computer — but they are not actually downloaded on your PC. When you open them, OneDrive will download the files on-demand, saving your local space which is really useful, especially if you have a PC that doesn’t have a lot of storage.

While Microsoft didn’t announce when exactly On-Demand Sync will be available to OneDrive users, we suspect it will be available with Windows 10 Redstone 2 — which is expected to arrive early next year. "

USB Files sync to OneDrive, as Online-Only? Please help!

I understand the issue that you are currently facing, we will try the best we can to resolve your issue.

You may use the selective sync option, using which you can select the files that you want to sync. Refer to the steps:

• Right click on the OneDrive icon on the taskbar.
• Click Settings, click Choose Folders.
• Uncheck the files that you do not want to sync and click Ok.
• If you want to exit out of OneDrive, please click on the Exit option available when you right click on the OneDrive icon available on the taskbar.
