Windows 10: OneDrive on Windows10 PC

Discus and support OneDrive on Windows10 PC in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; I cannot see the Onedrive icon in the settings menu of the taskbar.     I cannot see the Onedrive icon in the settings menu of the taskbar. When I select choose what appears on the taskbar, OneDrive does not appear in the list. It useed to, but is missing. Therefore I cannot complete the 'getting missing Onedrive icon' back again. If it's not there, I cannot choose it!


    This is annoying as when I choose a local file from my onedrive drive letter, it keeps saying Make sure Onedrive is working on your PC'.

    It does this on older files. Newer ones open up with no problems.

    Assistance to understand what is wrong and how to fix please.

    I have the new OneDrive app installed now too. It simply says for the older files 'no preview available' then Open or Download.

    Windows 10 - OneDrive

    Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

    If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

    Hi Ray,

    To troubleshoot your issue, we suggest doing these following troubleshooting methods:

    Method 1

    • Turn off your PC.
    • Press and hold Shift then turn on your PC.
    • Wait for the setup (set up fixes the problem automatically).
    Method 2

    • Create a media creation tool by following the steps in this
      link      .
    • Select your preferred installation option and wait for the process to finish.
