Windows 10: OneDrive prevents System Restore from working properly

I recently had to do a system restore.However despite selecting different restore points, the system restore failed to successfully restore the system and the error message was specifically related to OneDrive. Unfortunately I forgot to take a screen shot. I have 2 OneDrives -1. Personal signed into Outlook Hotmail address2. Works signed into by business email+ password AND requires a MFA second step which normally involves sending a code by text, I have come across other posts related to this issue and was wondering if Microsoft has addressed this unacceptable situationDoes anyone know a wo

system restore point not working properly

Before we start, make sure that System Restore is enabled on your PC. You can check the status of System Restore by following these steps:

• Press Windows Key + R and type gpedit.msc.
• In the left pane navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > System Restore.
• Check the state of Turn off Configuration and Turn off System Restore settings. If they aren’t set to Not configured, double click each setting and set it to
  Not Configured.
• Click Apply and OK to save changes.

SYSTEM RESTORE

Windows 10 may have encountered a system conflict when it tried to perform a system restore. For us to better assist you on performing a system restore, kindly answer the following questions:

• What is the make and model of your computer?
• What is the exact error message are you getting? If possible can you send us a screenshot using the attach photo feature on your reply.
• What is the current build and version of your Windows 10? To check type in
  winver on the search bar and press Enter.

Meanwhile, for a walkthrough on how to perform a system restore, kindly follow the steps on this

article and see the section that says Restore from a system restore point.
On another note, we also suggest that you check the Windows Defender settings and lower down the security if it is on high security. This can also be another issue why it is preventing an update to be installed.

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.
