Windows 10: OneDrive Problems

I was getting nowhere resolving file sync issues on my PC running Windows 10 so I uninstalled and installed the version {17.31.1.0) from the MS Store. I notice now that I no longer get the tray icon and have no way to know if anything is synchronizing or not. I am running Win10 on a laptop and it works fine, but don't seem to be able to reconfigure what files should be on OneDrive and what should be local.


I am trying to install the latest Insider Preview 18343.1 version, hoping that it might correct this.


Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...


That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.
