    OneDrive settings inaccessible?

Upon clicking on the OneDrive icon on the right side of my taskbar, everything appears as normal. However, upon clicking on the 'More' tab, I am unable to click on the 'Settings' button. It is greyed out, and I cannot click on it. This is incredibly irritating, as this is supposedly the only way I can force OneDrive to stop attempting to sync every single file on my Desktop. I can only pause the syncing for 24 hours, upon which it will resume again and proceed to harass me with "Your OneDrive online storage is full!" emails and notifications on my phone and desktop. I am incredibly frustrated that it is this difficult to turn a simple option on or off, as it should be nowhere near this complex to do something that should be so simplistic.

    :)

  2. Setting up onedrive on Windows 10

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    1) My Documents folder will be there in both PC and in OneDrive folder.

    2) As you said that you have made inaccessible, I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if I helps.

    • Open the properties of the main user profile folder where the files are located (such as Documents, Pictures, etc).
    • Go to the Security tab and click Advanced.
    • Check the box at the bottom of this window. It is labeled "Replace all child object permissions with inheritable permissions from this object" and then click Ok.
Are you trying to open the music folder from OneDrive folder or from PC?

Please reply to us with the status of the issue.

    Thanks.

  3. Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
