Windows 10: Onedrive storage exceeded, how to stop documents syncing to it?

Hi there,My Onedrive is over-full and despite deleting lots of files, I'm still 80mb over the limit. I need to do some coursework for uni, so I'm asking is there a way I can save a document to the device or disable Onedrive to stop it from syncing? Thanks.

Change Documents Shortcut

It is possible because I just did it a week ago.

I don't remember the exact steps and can't verify this since I stopped all syncs with OneDrive and uninstalled it when done.

I got the same error when I tried to move the Documents folder from OneDrive
I went into the OneDrive Settings, then Backup > Manage backup.
I unchecked the selection for the Documents folder.
Once I did that I was able to move the Documents folder from OneDrive

This is the only way I know to do it. I suggest you only keep things in the Documents folder you don't want synced with OneDrive. For files currently in OneDrive\Documents that you still want to sync with OneDrive, create a new folder and move them there. Then just add this folder to the ones synced by OneDrive

Onedrive Sync with "User/Documents"

I am using OneDrive to sync documents. I linked the Documents folder to OneDrive and it is synced. The problem is that many applications are using the folder "User/Documents", so the data of them is synced to OneDrive too. But I don't want to sync them.
How to deal with this problem?

And I am also using OneNote. OneNote files are all in folder Documents. If I unlink "User/Documents" to OneDrive, will the OneNote stop sync?
