    Howdy,

Tell me why OneDrive was virtually a stealth app running in the background when I already had a back-up plan in place for years. Of course to fully backup my laptop (only 15GB without) I would have had to sign up for Office 365. My Outlook account also didn't receive a very important verification email from Google this evening. And yes, I checked everywhere. Thankfully I had other means of verifying my identity.

God knows how many less tech savvy people fell for that. Disgraceful.

There is also an issue with a bogus unpaid bill I have with CorelDraw. It's so blatantly a scam (all the more so after I had a chat with one of their sales reps who after I sarcastically asked if he would like to connect to my PC remotely, he actually gave me the website address to download one of those software packages they use to hijack the unsuspecting victims PC!

The trial also supposedly began on October 19th of this year! Interestingly the last four digits of the card were the last four digits of my expired credit card. Not that long expired, as it was only in the last 2 or 3 months that I remember cutting it up. But there's certainly no charges from Corel on my credit card account (ever).

Now because of an 'outstanding' payment I can't cancel the recurring payment. I don't like how that reflects on me as the account holder.

What would you advise me do?

I understand that employees like yourself should not have to answer for policy decisions of the people who control this company. I apologise if I in any way offended you. First world problems I guess.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Paul

  2. Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.
