Windows 10: OneDrive sync question OLD ->NEW, New partially updated

Have an old win 10 computer synced with one drive. New win 11 computer was setup more than a week ago. How to sync the new/updated files from one-drive to the new computer without the new computer overwriting newer files in one-drive during sync?

New account syncing with OneDrive

I have changed the administrator account's email on my windows 11 laptop from ********* to a new outlook.com email account. I have also purchased Office 365 which also comes with OneDrive(1 tb). However, my new account, or anything about my laptop(documents etc), is not syncing with OneDrive. And I keep getting a pop-up notification that OneDrive isn't syncing, but when I click on the pop-up it tries to sign me in with the old account email and not the new one. When I changed the email accounts over I deleted the old admin account email from my laptop but apparently it is still wanting to sync with OneDrive, meanwhile the new admin email account and the Office 365 with OneDrive is not syncing either.

How do I get the old email account out of the system?

And how do I make the new admin email account and windows and laptop and documents et al get synced up with OneDrive?

Please help!

Please let us know:

• When you say, “I have updated to a new email address and updated Microsoft details” where exactly have you updated the details?
  
• Are you try to sign in to the OneDrive website or OneDrive Desktop app?
  

I would suggest you to refer the steps mentioned in the article
OneDrive shows "You're syncing a different account" error and see if that helps.

OneDrive & New Computer

There are a million posts stating you can move files from one computer to another with OneDrive. This is a DIFFERENT question, please make sure you understand it before answering. Thanks!!!

I am getting a new laptop at work and they will be erasing the hard disk on the old laptop. I believe, but am not sure, that my OneDrive files are stored on the old laptop & sync with the cloud. How do I ensure the files are moved to the new laptop and
are not erased when they wipe the old laptop's memory clean? Please keep in mind I am not the one wiping the old laptop clean so if there are any steps that need to be done on it, I need to do them before mailing that laptop to headquarters, so the answer
can't say "When you wipe the old memory, be sure to check this certain box halfway thru the procedure".
