Windows 10: OneDrive taking up far too much storage space on iPhone over 25Gb

Why is OneDrive content taking over 25Gb storage space on my iPhoneX?I just moved a folder containing over 15Gb from OneDrive online to a local HDD attached to my PC. The folder and contents has now disappeared from both OneDrive online AND the OneDrive app on my phone.............BUT it hasn't made a blind bit of difference to the amount of storage on the phone and the OneDrive app still shows its using over 25Gb!!!!What is going on?

To isolate the concern, please answer the following questions:

• Is your phone up-to-date?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
• How long has your phone had this issue?
• Have you tried logging in to OneDrive via Edge or other browser to check if the data is still available? You can compare the used storage from the one you're seeing on OneDrive app.
  
• Have you tried to check your phone storage to check how your phone storage space is being used? Go to
  Settings > Storage sense > Phone > Apps + games >
  look for OneDrive app, take a screenshot and attach it to your reply.

OneDrive files in Setting-Storage----What's the purpose.

I have about 50 folders and use 97GB of space on OneDrive online.

My laptop currently is running low on space. I deleted temp folders, but going in to Settings->Storage, there are 25GB of space used by OneDrive. My laptop only shows about 15 of my OneDrive folders. Can I free up this 25GB?

How can I?

Anyway to turn it off.
