Discus and support OneDrive The cloud file provider is not running in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; If I mount a backup file as a drive and I try to copy a file from the user/OneDrive/folder, I get an error message "9/5/2020 7:49:35 PM Unable to...     If I mount a backup file as a drive and I try to copy a file from the user/OneDrive/folder, I get an error message

    "9/5/2020 7:49:35 PM Unable to copy E:\Users\JG\OneDrive\QBAK\Test 2020-2020-01-22.QDF-backup: The cloud file provider is not running"

    However, there is another user in the same drive that also has a Onedrive yet i can copy those files without problems

    Solutions ?

    My name is Kathleen and I am an Independent Advisor. I would be happy to help you today.

    Try resetting the OneDrive sync app on each computer and make sure that you are sign into the same account in each app.

    Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard.

    Then copy and paste this text into the Run window that appears and press Enter:

    %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset

    That will reset OneDrive

    After a couple of minutes, the OneDrive cloud icon should show in the system tray.

    If it doesn’t start, open Start, find OneDrive and start it

    Error 0x8007016A: The Cloud File provider is not running.

    I can no longer open any zipped files, or move or copy any files in any of the OneDrive folders on my PC. Every time I try I get error message 0x8006017A and the message that "The Cloud File provider is not running".

    This problem occurs in both normal and safe modes, and regardless of whether the OneDrive app is running or not.

    Hello

    I have been using RoboCopy and PowerShell as a scheduled task to backup data for years.

    However I now have a problem when the files are on OneDrive and the folder being backed up does not find the file. I get the response

    ERROR 362 (0x0000016A) Copying File {FileName}

    The cloud file provider is not running.

    I have OneDrive running under the same account that is running the scheduled task and the scheduled task is

    Program/Script:

    C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe

    Add Arguments (optional):

    -NoProfile -NoLogo -NonInteractive -File {Script}.ps1

    Any help much appreciated
