OneDrive has started to throw this error message the last few daysOneDrive - "We couldn't access C:\Users\UserID\OneDrive...\Documents and Settings\All..." :pC is Windows 11. I have no idea why the error. Reconfiguring OneDrive doesn't help. Closing simply exits OneDrive. I have never seen a OneDrive folder named "Documents and Settings" either on this PC or OneDrive web. Help!

    :)

  2. OneDrive has hijacked my Documents library

It seems that OneDrive has changed the locations of my Documents folder to c:\Users\UserID\OneDrive. I'd like to move it back to c:\Users\UserID\Documents, but am running in to roadblocks that I can't get past. I'm hoping someone can help.

Here's what I've done so far:

    1. Turned off OneDrive backup.
    2. In This PC, right-clicked Documents -> Properties. It shows the location as an uneditable field.
    3. Edited the registry entry Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\Personal and changed the value to c:\Users\UserID\Documents
When I go back to This PC, the Documents folder is still pointing to c:\Users\UserID\OneDrive. I've tried rebooting and checked that the registry key still points where I want it to.

At this point I'm kind of stuck.

  3. Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

    Windows 10 - OneDrive

[/quote] Click to expand... Sorry, but I think you're confused and keep referring to Onedrive. There is a big difference between the consumer version of Onedrive business O365 version. I do not have the consumer version of Onedrive installed... it is Onedrive for Business. Also, this script is for "Onedrive" .... not Onedrive for Business. Thanks anyway.

OneDrive (for Business) built-in Windows 10 differences?

No thanks for providing a non-rant version. I ought to recruit about 20 million people and walk down to Microsoft headquarters and do them in. Tired of Microsoft forcing their childish development skills on the masses.
