  1. OneDrive

I have OneDrive sync files between 2 computers, one Windows 7 and the other Windows 10. On both computers OneDrive is set to open when I turn on the computer.

I usally see the OneDrive logo in the icons, bottom right, and can see the status - logging on, syncing, or up to date. Two days ago both got "stuck" on the log on part.

I clicked on the icon and a box opened up, Set Up OneDrive by entering my email and clicking "sign in". All this does is open a file explorer window with the local copies of the files. And none show any status (usually a green circle if synced, or the status if not yet).

I am signed in to OneDrive online and can see my files. I just can't get either computer to start a sync. I just changed my password so I'm sure that's the problem. I just don't know how to fix it as I'm never asked to enter the password. Well, online I entered the new password, it's just the computer's that haven't asked for it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    :)

  2. Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

OneDrive folder icon changed to plain

    Hi,

    Thank you for replying.

I understand your concern and suggest you to Unlink OneDrive and run OneDrive setup
again and check. Here is the steps:

    • Right-click the white OneDrive cloud icon in the notification area, at the far right of the taskbar.

      OneDrive ce960e20-2ea4-4298-8ec8-8399b1b20e20.png

(You might need to click the Show hidden icons arrow next to the notification area to see the
      OneDrive icon.)

    • Click Settings, and then click Unlink.

    • Follow the steps in the Welcome to OneDrive wizard to set up OneDrive.
Do notify us if the issue still persists and we'll be glad to help.
