Windows 10: onenote corruption

I had one note installed on 4 PCs and one Mac on the same network. Recently I added a new PC to the network - all updated software.When I checked the other PCs I found 4 had corrupted one note data , the fifth, which had not been active was OK, as is the MAC. I tried correcting the data using the suggestions - but the data got more incomprehensible,


My question is simple. If I delete the one note installations in the 4 bad PCs, and then install new empty applications - will the fifth PC be able to populate them correctly.


I understand that the cause of the corruption was due to a data format change which I was unaware of as were the installed one not repositories,

Can I be assure that this kind of update will be handled in a way that will repeat the corruption again.


Finally are you providing a backup utility for one note ?

Send to onenote

Hi,

It may be an issue with the add ins in OneNote, we suggest that you disable OneNote add-on and enable it. To do so, follow the steps below:

• Open Internet Explorer.
• Click Manage add-ons.
• On the left pane, click Toolbars and Extensions.
• On the right hand side of the page check for Send to OneNote add-on. Highlight
  Send to OneNote and click on disable.
• Once the add-on is disabled highlight the add-on again and enable it.

Note: To enable the File menu in Internet Explorer press the
Alt key on your keyboard.

You may also perform an online repair in Office 2007, to do an Online repair, follow the steps below:

• Press Windows + X.
• Click Control Panel.
• Click Programs and Features.
• Right click Microsoft Office, click Change.
  
• Choose Online repair.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.

Are you able to follow them?
In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.

 

Data corruption in OneNote on Windows 10 Mobile

The problem of OneNote data corruption in my phone is with the account that was used to set up the phone. You are suggesting that I delete and then add this account in the phone. But this will not work for me -- because deleting this account will delete
ALL my phone settings, apps and data! Please suggest another solution.

In the mean time I am unable to use OneNote on my phone since 7/22/17.
