Windows 10: Online games turning off my network adapter. Unable to identify problem

Hello, recently I've been having trouble with games. Whenever I boot up a game, every input is extremely laggy with noticable delay for things that previously took no time at all. When I say noticeable, it at minimum takes up to 1-2 minutes for each action. Not only that but it bugs out my network connection. For some context, before I did a factory reset of my pc my network adapter would just shut off every time I tried to connect to the internet while playing a game. To resolve this issue, we suggest that you run the Network troubleshooter when you switch from WiFi to Ethernet connection. The Network troubleshooter can help diagnose and fix common connection problems including clearing the network cache to obtain a new
IP from the new network. Kindly follow the steps below:

  Identify and repair network problems from the list of results.
• Follow the steps in the troubleshooter and see if that fixes the problem.

We recommend that you try the steps on the Update the network adapter driver,
Run the Network troubleshooter followed by networking commands, and Use network reset to reinstall network devices sections.

Install a driver for your network adapter

Go to the list of network adapters in the control panel, turn of the lan and turn it on again. See if that helps.
