  1. Only 2 out of 3 monitors will display at a time

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 series 7800X3DGPU: Nvidia GeForce 4080 SuperMonitors: LG 45” curved OLED x 3Monitors all connected via DisplayPort. I believe all drivers/software are up to date. Will display any combination of 2 out of 3. For example if 1 and 2 are displaying, I can power off monitor 1 and then monitors 2 and 3 will be displaying. The third monitor is recognized within windows display settings as a smaller greyed out box. The displaying monitors are both set to extend. Advanced setting shows the third monitor as ‘not active’. The third monitor is also recognized within Nvidia control center.

  2. I have 2 monitors but display is showing 3

Display settings are showing 3 monitors when I only have 2. This was not a problem till I updated my Nvidia drivers now the screen that apps open on is the one I cant see. (I had to disconnect the 2nd Monitor to cet to chrome to write this and display tells
    me I have 2 screens but I don't)

I rolled back the drivers but no joy - Next step I suppose is to Uninstall the video card and reboot to reinstall

Can I extend Display 1 to Display 2 and duplicate Display 2 to Display 3 ?

Thank you for the reply. I found a different way and you can connect all displays with separate cables or you can have link between them if they have Displayport or Thunderbolt Daisy Chaining functionality.

Anyway this does not help duplicating an extended display but going into Intel Graphics Command Center application because my on-board video card is Intel helped me extend Display 1 to Display 2 and mirror Display 2 for Display 3.

    Steps Performed:

    1. Open Intel Graphics Command Center application

    2. Navigate to Displays left menu item

    3. Click ... for Monitor 2 and select Extend Monitor 1

    4. Click ... for Monitor 3 and Mirror Monitor 2

This is all to do to have a projector show the same presentation I have on my second monitor so that I can see the notes on my primary monitor.

    Windows won't display 3 monitors

    Hi,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I would require some more information, to get a clear picture of the issue.

    • What is the make & model of your computer?
    • Did you try installing drivers in compatibility mode?
This would usually happen if the display adapter drivers on the computer are corrupt or needs to be updated.

As you have mentioned that you have the latest drivers, I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

I would suggest you to run hardware troubleshooter.

    • Type “troubleshooting” in the search bar.
    • Select “Troubleshooting”.
    • Select “View all” on the top left corner.
    • ClickHardware & devices.
    • Follow the on-screen instruction to run the troubleshooter.

    Method 2:

If issue persists follow below steps.

    • Disconnect all the devices except Keyboard & mouse then reconnect & restart your computer.
    • Check the Windows update.
    Method 3:

Follow the steps below on how to install Display adapter in compatibility mode:

    1. Download the adapter from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

    2. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

    3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

    4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select
operating system from the drop down list.

    5. Let the adapter install and then check the functionality.

    Hope this helps.

Please post back to us if you have any questions. We will be glad to provide you with the additional options.
