Windows 10: Only my laptop drops from internet

    Only my laptop drops from internet


    There are 4 laptops in our home and 2 of mine drop the internet. I can get one back and working but not the other. The one that is working will drop when my husband boots his up. We have ran for years with these laptops and not sure why it is happening now and why just mine. Both mine are windows 7 , husband 7 along with the other one. I know at one time the other one, she tried to load 10 but after having issues she uninstalled and went back to 7. Sorry, I know this is for windows, but wondered is that might have caused some issues. Laptops connect to the router but not the internet. Or at least that is what it shows in the window.

    I upgraded to Windows 10 on my Acer Aspire Laptop but it won't now update.

    I've tried this and rebooted the laptop but it hasn't worked. My laptop won't access the Internet at all through Microsoft, I've no access to the the edge, the store and the Windows update.

    The only way I can access the internet is by using Google Chrome. It's been like this off and on since I upgraded to Windows 10. It will access the internet but it always drops out.

    Vendor Firewall blocking communication & Connection between access point broken

    I have a Netgear wifi router. Using wifi with my laptops, over the past 3 months I've started getting dropped from the internet and have to run the Troubleshooting tool to fix the issue. The Windows 7 wizard tells me the, "Vendor firewall is blocking communication"
    and "The connection between your access point, router, or cable modem and the Internet is broken." This only occurs when using wifi; when wired, everything is fine. Also, my iPhone and Vizio wireless TV never have a problem connecting to the wifi (just my
    laptops). Is there a setting that has changed in Windows recently that I need to adjust to make this stop? Other fixes? The troubleshooting wizard fixes it on my laptop that runs Windows 7 but my other laptop that runs Windows 10 cannot connect at all via
    wifi, only wired. Annoying. Thanks for any help!

    You might have better luck at IIS Windows Server.sevenforums.com/ since you're on Windows 7. Your attempt to upgrade to 10 shouldn't be part of the issue.
