Windows 10: Only Sound over Bus no HDMI Audio and no Working Audio over Optical Cable

Hello there,i have had quite a problem for the past 2 or some weeks.I only have Audio over the Bus, the Optical isnt working somehow and the Monitor and TV i have are not even showing up.Tried to update drivers and deinstall MonitorPnP I have no clue whats going on and hope for help.Specs:RX 7800 XTRyzen 7 5800XMSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus

For audio>HDMI or Optic cable?

Which is bullshit because both standards are digital. The only potential problem is electrical/magnetic interference.

HDMI can handle 8+ channels lossless. Optical can only handle 2 channels lossless or 6 channels lossy.

If all you're doing is audio through it, you shouldn't have problems running it through a cheap 50 foot cable (not that I would, just saying). The bandwidth requirement of audio is extremely low compared to video.

 

Audio from speakers not working with HDMI cable

I just bought a Minis Forum UM690 with Windows 11. My setup is really easy, my pc is connected to the monitor with an HDMI cable and the speakers are connected to the monitor with a jack cable. In the audio settings as default I have "Digital Audio (HDMI)" with the image of the monitor, so I presume that the pc is trying to take the audio from the HDMI cable, but there is no sound. I have tried to reinstall the drivers and reset the pc, but both didn't work.

 

Video and Audio playback issues with Windows 11 and HD AUDIO DRIVER FOR DISPLAY AUDIO using HDMI, but no issue using S/PIDIF output driver

EARC works where the HDMI out from the Motherboard/Intel HDMI out goes into one of the HDMI inputs on the television, then another separate HDMI cable runs from a separate HDMI port on the TV into the EARC HDMI port on the soundbar. It's passing audio to the sound bar, and receiving volume and power information from the soundbar.

In order to get Windows Audio AND Video working properly, in my situation, with the issues I've been having with the hd audio driver for display audio as detailed above, I've had to unplug the EARC cable running between my TV and the Soundbar, and simply use the S/PIDIF optical cable between my Motherboards optical out into my soundbars optical in. And this works. No issues with Windows 11 Audio or Video playback as described above. Using the optical S/PIDIF is the same difference as testing with Bluetooth to Sound bar.
