  1. Only Stereo Sound after latest Windows 10 Update instead of 5.1

    Hey guys,

Im having a little trouble with my sound since the latest windows update.

The receiver is hooked up trough HDMI to my Computer and it worked perfectly in 5.1 Mode until the latest (forced) windows 10 update a few days ago.

Basicly the sound delivered to the AVR Receiver is only Stereo. If i play back 5.1 content the rear channels, center channel and subwoofer are mute meaning i cant hear any voices for example (since the come trough the center channel).

The sound in the control settings is set to 5.1 If i change it to stereo then yes the signal gets downmixed and i can hear the voices again, but again only from two speakers instead of all 6.

When I change the settings (for example in the media player) to passtrough the signal so the receiver decodes it then It works perfectly again. but this is not a good solution, because I cant control the volume and also any other content that gets played trough other means (youtube or games) are still in stereo mode.

I assume its a software bug regarding windows 10. Did anybody expirience the same and what are the solutions?

    Any tips are appreciated!

    Thanks
