Windows 10: open desktop icons

hard drive died. copied contents of hard drive and desktop. how do I find desktop files on hard drive copy? can I access them? from windows 10 going to windows 11.

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.

Desktop Icons Won't Stay Put
