Windows 10: Open File Dialog Error 0x80070032 With SharePoint Sync Location Mapped to Drive Letter

Hi All,I have come across an error with the Open File Dialog that makes it difficult to utilise SharePoint when mapping the sync location to a drive letter.The issue appears to be that if you attempt to access a file using the Open File Dialog you get an 0x80070032 error code:However, if I attempt to access the same file but go through the sync location file path rather than the mapped drive path the Open File Dialog works without issue.More strangely, if I click the skip button on the error the file is still picked up and can be referenced and used after the Open File Dialog box is closed. Mapping drive for Sharepoint library, Office 365 - error message Access Denied

Help please! I am trying to map drives for sharepoint libraries in Teamsites. They need to go on multiple computers and are being mapped by multiple users. We have made sure the site is in the Trusted Sites, we have logged into Office 365 and SharePoint
using Internet Explorer (and other web browsers), but when we get to the point of adding the mapped drive to the file browser, most users get the following error message:

Access denied: Before opening files in this location you must first add the web site to your trusted sites list, browse to the web site and select the option to login automatically.

However, some users don't get this error message and have no problem mapping the drives. I can't see any difference between these users who can map the drives, and those who can't. I have compared the security settings of the Trusted Sites in Internet Options,
and also checked everyone's permissions in SharePoint.

Does anyone know what might be happening? Thanks!

 

Cannot play MP4 files from SharePoint mapped drive

Hello All,

I have a user here that cannot play MP4 files from their SharePoint document library mapped drive. Clicking on the video brings up an error that says "Can't play. Please try again" with the error code 0x80004005.

• I have shortened the name of the file to one word to shorten the link (didn't work)
• I have tried opening it in a different program - windows media player & photos (didn't work)
• I have made sure the WebClient was running in ms services
• The user can watch the video if clicking on it via the SharePoint site
• The user can watch the video if downloading directly to desktop and clicking on it
• All of the other mapped drives and files are working fine for the user just not these MP4 files

The video will only not play for the user when clicked on via the network drive. I myself can play the video from the same mapped drive on my own machine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Is the remote shared folder mapped? Do you have a drive letter assigned to it?
I'd suggest calling the software developer and asking them.
